~ For this assignment, we are asked to produce an informative graphic presentation on School of Housing, Building and Planning that has informations, sketches and pictures ~

~ Theme chosen: Information ~

~ I would like to introduce HBP in all the aspects ~

~ The maps and plans of HBP till the details like the programmes and facilities provided ~

~ This could helps the visitors to understand more about HBP ~

~ There are also pictures inserted so that visitors could identify different block of buildings in HBP ~

~ Process of Analysing the Site ~

~ Firstly, i find the data through the internet and HBP official website ~

~ The history, facilities, proigrammes, short courses, qualification of apply, etc ~

~ With the help of my friends ( Yet Soong, Zhang Roong & Jun Chen ), i found the info about the plans for Penang, USM, HBP and the topography of USM ~

RUS 104 (Assignment 5)

~ Assignment 5 ( The Mask ) For Studio Programme ( RUS 104 ) ~

~ Theme: Feeling of Angry & Sad ~

~ For this assignment, i imagined the feel and expression when a woman was entering her room ~

~ Once she opened the door, she found out her room was very messy and all her things were taken out from the original place ~

~ Oh! There were thieves broke into her house! ~

~ Firstly, she felt very angry ~

~ Then the feeling of sadness came to her ~

~ Her properties and money were gone! ~
~ Then she slowly calmed down and try to fix the problem ~

~ I chose this theme because i think that no matter what happen to a Man, he/she should handle the problem(s) calmly ~

~ Although there is unexpected situation or incident happen, he/she should not easily get upset ~

~ He/she should stay strong to solve the problem no matter at any where or any place ~

~ The beginning of the process making a mask ~

~ Firstly, sketch the drawing in a piece of paper ~

~ The process of making the mask was carried out in group ~
~Friends involved were yet soong, zhang roong, jun chen ~
~ We started with making the mask for Yet Soong ~

~ Johnson baby oil was put on the face to ensure our skin will not be having infection~

~ Tissues were put on the face for the first layer ~

~ Second and the following layers were sticked with A4 Papers ~

~ Hair dryer was used to dry the connection between the two layers before continue with the following one to ensure all layers were sticked with each other firm and hard ~

~ My mask is consist of one layer of tissue and four layers of papers ~

~This is the completed mask without colouring and sketching ~

~ The mask was dried under the sun before the following process is carried out ~

~ The process of sketching and colouring began ~

~ The completed mask ~

~ Explaination of colour used ~

~~ Decoration on eyes ~~ 

1. Red      - Represents the feeling of anger due to the incident of thieves broke into her room

2. Yellow - Represents optimism of the woman although her properties and money were stolen

3. Blue    - Represents the calm feeling to solve the problem

4. Black  - Represents the seriousness of the woman towards the incident

5. White  - Represents the hope of the woman to get back her things

~~ Tears on the eyes represent the sadness of the woman ~~

~ Screaming expression with ''mouth opened'' showed the 1st expression when the woman entered the room  and shocked with the view she looked at ~~

~ The black colour area at the side of the mask represents the hair of the woman ~

~ Feel of the assignment ~

~ Although this assignment is individual work, however we need friends to help us in making mask ~

~ This shows the importance of friends and cooperation among us ~ 

~ We did this assignment from midnight to morning continuously but we enjoyed the process very much ~

~ I ended this blog post with a poem ~
